About Trowbridge
- Trowbridge was one of the most important centres of the West of England cloth trade from the medieval period to the early 20th century — a town whose prosperity was built on the production of fine woollen cloth, particularly the superfine broadcloth that was exported across Europe and to the Americas. The Trowbridge Museum tells the story of this vanished industry.
